Getting Started

Creating Your First Segment & Dynamic Tile

1. Navigate to the Segments Section

  • Open the app and go to the left-hand side navigation.
  • Click on Segments to access the segmentation feature.

2. Create a New Segment

  • In the Segments section, click the Create New Segment button in the top-right corner.
  • Name Your Segment: Enter a descriptive name, such as "VIP Customers."

3. Choose Segment Type

  • Select the type of segment you want to create:
    • Customer (used in this example).
    • Order, Variant, Product, etc., depending on your needs.

4. Define Rules for the Segment

  • Add Conditions: Use conditions to specify who belongs to this segment:
    • Example 1: Search customer tags containing "VIP."
    • Example 2: Add a condition for customers with amount spent ≥ $500.
  • Use AND or OR operators to combine multiple conditions as needed.
  • Add more rules for greater specificity, such as order history, product purchases, or custom fields.

5. Save the Segment

  • Click Save to finalize the segment.
  • The system will calculate and display the number of customers that match your segment criteria. This may take a few minutes depending on your customer base.

6. Apply the Segment to a Tile

  • Go to the Tile Library and select the tile you created (e.g., "VIP Collection").
  • On the left-hand side below the grid items, look for the Segmentation section (it may display “No segments found” initially).

7. Add the Segment

  • Click Add New in the segmentation box.
  • Select your created segment from the dropdown (e.g., "VIP Customers").
  • Click Save Draft to update the settings.

8. Verify the Tile’s Behavior

  • Ensure the tile is now restricted to display only for the specified segment (e.g., VIP customers).
  • This dynamic personalization ensures that only relevant users see the tile.

9. Experiment and Expand

  • Segmentation allows for a wide variety of use cases. Experiment with different segment types (e.g., product-based or order-based rules).
  • Look out for updates, as more rules and segmentation options will be added over time.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully created a dynamic tile with personalized segmentation. 🎉
